So, who would you trust with your health and fitness? What makes me different from other fitness professionals?
> From age 13 I started attending the after school club athletics
> I started athletic competitions when I was 14 and won the County Championship
> At 15 I joined Arbroath & District Athletics club and started sprinting competitively
> From 17 I was running profressionally and training 40 hours a week
> Unfortunately I suffered a grade 4 rupture in my hamstring and I was unable to continue running professionally
> I didn't want to give up on my love of sport so in 2009 I started an Honours Degree in Sports Coaching and completed it in 2013.
> During and after completing my degree I have worked in the sports/fitness/health and leisure industry, giving me over 8 years experience in all aspects of health and fitness
> I continue to keep up to date with the latest research from trusted academic journal sources
> I have also completed my Personal Training Level 4 certificate and I'm a qualified Cardiac specialist - Heart problems, heart attacks, rehab from cardiac events and exercises to regain fitness.
> Qualified Personal trainer - I have an indepth knowledge of exercise methods and training techniques.
> I hold additional gym qualifications - spin, metafit, circuits, kettlebells, OTAGO & TRX
> Trained Nutritional therapist - I'm able to give advice on healthy eating and good eating swaps - I cannot give advice on medical diets.
> Sports coach, specialising in athletics, tennis, badminton, squash and racquetball.
> Additional sports coached: football; youth teams to development level team.
> I hold a junior conditioning award for training 11-16 year olds to help them reach their sporting/fitness ambitions safely!
As you can see from my experience and qualifications health and fitness is my passion and I hope I can help you with whatever goal you are trying to reach.
